Apparently when I upgraded my MacBook Air to Monterrey Operating System I am no longer able to print from my HP LaserJet P1102w--even if using a USB Cable.
I removed the original HP app, and have tried to reload the app despite my printer no longer supported. There is one page where it asks 'What type of printer are you trying to find: Wi-Fi, USB Cable, or Network' with instructions to 'Select' but there is no capability to make a selection. Below is a screen image.
I also tried to 'zoom-out' hoping a 'Select' tab would become visible but the screen will not diminish its size. How can I enable printing from my MacBook Air to this HP LaserJet P1102w printer (which has always worked fine using a USB cable)?
Thanks in advance for all helpful responses,
Ed

Thanks for the tip Shlomi.
I tried this route earlier without success because my specific printer is not one shown in the list of printers. I suspect there is a generic printer model I can use but I have had no success trying various options.

Hi Ed,
Your printer is supported with this solution, it is part of the P1100 Series listed in the list..Please carefully go through the steps again, as well you may follow below solution which apply for your printer model too, both should allow installing and using your printer with a USB connection:
Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.
Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip
As soon as HP Easy start prompts to install HP Smart, close HP Easy Start and press the Skip to Software Download button, then follow the steps on screen to complete the installation and check for any difference.
