I am thinking I will need to replace my trust LaserJet p1102w, that recently just printed its 100,000th page. Bought it in 2013. It is starting to show its age.

 

Now I do use aftermarket toner. I know that recently, HP has started requiring (or maybe just making it harder not to) using HP toner. I definitely want to avoid any printer that requires hp toner, or even an hp chip in the toner cartridge.

 

Does the HP LaserJet Pro 3001dw print with any third party toner that is compatible? Or does it require HP chips, or even only HP toner cartridges?
