My HP LaserJet Pro 4002dw printer enters deep sleep mode after which I can't wake it up normally. Only thing which helps is to unplug it and plug it back again. Buttons near the screen do not wake it up. Print job does not help. It's with the latest firmware update. Configured to not shut down and to enter sleep mode after 10 minutes. It's WIFI connected with static IP, fixed channel, 2.4 GHz.
Any ideas?

I have figured it out.
It's because of the disabled Ethernet feature which has nothing to do with WIFI but looks like there is some kind of software issue.

While I do not have your exact printer by model, I do have an HP LaserJet 3201ddw that exhibits the exact same issues. It will print normally from any device on my network while awake. It will print out of sleep mode initially for a little while, though once enough time passes the printer will no longer print unless a full reboot is performed.
What disabled ethernet feature are you referring to? Are you saying to disable Ethernet all together, even though its not in use? I guess I am asking for more clarification on what steps you performed with your specific printer.

It's in the printer's Embedded Web Server -> Settings -> Security -> Administrator Settings -> Connectivity -> Ethernet.
When it's disabled I have the mentioned issue. Keep in mind you have to restart the printer in order some of the listed features to take effect.
The issue you have looks like a different one. Try to set static IP for the printer and always print by TCP/IP which you can set in printer properties:
