Hello,
I am trying to install the driver for the printer, as I previously uninstalled, because wasn't working.
I tried all the solutions that I found until now, in the last few days, and none worked.
The driver is installing, until 99%, where it stays few minutes, and then is crashing.
The printer is installed automatically as scanner, and it works well, as a scanner and also as copier.
The self diagnose works also, so I figure it's a matter of software.
Please assist, as I ran out of solutions.
Thank you,
Adrian

Hello,
In the meantime, searching and trying different solutions (including messing-up with registries, with regedit command, and editing print spooler folder, after stoping the spooler service) I tried this, and, somehow it worked:
- in device manager, under USB controllers, there were some "HP Printer ..." ones
- I right-clicked each one, click update driver - browse my comp - let me pick - and I choose a different one (e.g. HP Printer (BIDI)).
- I attached a screen shot of my device manager structure.
Hope it will be helpfull, as I was seconds away from ordering a brand new printer.
Good luck.
