LaserJet Pro MFP M282nw

Hi all,

I set a password for my new LaserJet Pro MFP M282nw printer. I used the password manager. After setting the password, I can not log in. I tried username admin, ADMIN, .... I suspect that either the password I used from the PW manager too long, or special chars, or another bug.

Any advice, or do I need to reset the printer? In case I need to - I couldn't find any instructions which work without the password.

Thanks in advance!

Lol I just figured it out.

Only the first 16 characters of the password were actually used/stored as a password. The password in the password manager was 22.

Would be very helpful to have a validation warning or a hint when setting the password in the Web interface.

I figured it out by trying to enter the password on the touchscreen itself, where it did get cut off after 16 chars.

Best
