Mac 15.5
HP LaserJet Professional P1606dn which worked fine with my older iMac IOS 11. I replaced the iMac with a new one, now running IOS 15. The new Mac recognizes the printer but will not print to it and the printer only stays on briefly when the on/off button is pressed and will not print an info sheet. The toner cartridge is a new HP cartridge. Any thoughts?

@R_PP, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding !
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Reset Printing System (on your Mac):
Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners
Right-click (or Control-click) on the printer list and select "Reset printing system"
Then re-add your printer.
Check HP Easy Admin or HP Support Page:
Visit: HP Printer Drivers for macOS
Search for P1606dn.
If no Sonoma-specific driver is available, try using AirPrint or Generic PCL driver.
Use AirPrint Instead:
When adding the printer from “Printers & Scanners,” if it shows “Use: AirPrint”, select that instead of a specific HP driver.
If AirPrint isn’t shown, install the latest HP Easy Start tool: HP Easy Start for macOS
Reference: Airprint
I hope this helps.
