HP Laserjet Pro M102w will not print Linux

Failure to print HP Laserjet Pro M102W
HP Compaq 6710b laptop using Linux Mint 18.1 64bit

With printer plugged in went to Printers -Configure printers
clicked Add shows and selects HP-LaserJet-M101-M106 (recommended)
Forward
Shows HP-LaserJet-M101-M106 (recommended)
Searches for driver.
Forward
Shows Trays 3 to 5 and only Duplex ticked
described as Oldcity
Clicked Apply
Shows Print test page. Clicked Yes.
Shows Printer State: Idle-sending to printer .

Cups All Jobs tab Completed Jobs shows

The same install procedure was used on a Dell 9400 laptop with Linux Mint 18.1 32bit

Cups gave me similar results with

After some searching found:

HPLIP-Version: HPLIP 3.16.11
HPLIP-Home: /usr/share/hplip
warning: HPLIP-Installation: Auto installation is not supported for 22 distro 18.1 version

I have linux mint 18.1 installed and it installed 3.16.3

Will see about dropping back.
