Does the HP LaserJet Pro M501 support wifi-direct printing?

I thought all HP LaserJet Pro's from 2011 forward had wifi-direct.

When I connect to the HP Device Toolbox software for the printer, I do not find Wifi-Direct options in the Networking tab.

Hi,

Indeed, any WiFi-enabled printer from 2011 has WiFi Direct, but only WiFi-enabled printers.

 

An HP LaserJet Pro M501dn  only offers wired ethernet capabilities it does not have any wireless interface, WiFi Direct is not offered for such printers as well, only wireless-enabled printers offer such functionality.
