@helpme791 .

Update the printer firmware:

Instructions for updating the firmware:

Spoiler

Firmware upgrade instructions for HP LaserJet Pro M148 series multifunction printers with Microsoft Windows 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems.
Notes on flash firmware upgrade:
The firmware update utility can connect to the printer via a network or USB.
To use this utility with a network or USB connection, you must first install the HP MFP print driver software.
The HP MFP must be turned on and in the READY state as indicated on the control panel LCD display and must remain on throughout the firmware update process.
Depending on the processor speed of your computer, the firmware upgrade process may finish on the printer before the upgrade utility progress bar completes on the computer screen; this is normal.
Once the upgrade process has started, do not use your computer for any other activity until it is complete.
Advise others connected to the product, both network and USB, not to use the printer during the upgrade period.
Do not turn the product or equipment off and on until the firmware upgrade process is complete.
Process:
Download the firmware flash update file from HP.com to your computer desktop.
Turn the printer off and then on again to clear the main memory.
Double-click the firmware flash update utility file. The HP firmware update window will open.
Select the appropriate multifunction in the dialog box. If you assigned a different name to the HP MFP, choose the name that represents the correct printer.
Click "Submit Firmware" when you are ready to continue.
The progress bar will begin to fill to the right to indicate that the information is being transferred.
DO NOT turn the product or computer off and on during this process, as the product may become unstable or unusable without HP's attention. The firmware flash update may take up to 5 minutes. Please be patient.
During the product firmware flash update, the control panel display will indicate "Erasing - Programming - Finished - Hewlett-Packard - Ready - Initializing - Ready". Once the download is complete, the printer will have a Ready status.
When the firmware update is complete, the dialog box will show a smiley face. Click Exit.
The firmware flash upgrade process is now complete.
If you wish to verify the update, use the control panel report menu under configuration to print a configuration report.
The configuration report will present the current firmware revision in the Product Information block.

You will need to follow the instructions below to solve this issue:

  1. Turn the printer off.
  2. Press and hold down the Left Arrow (
    ) and the Cancel (

    ) buttons.

  3. Hold the buttons when you turn on the printer.
  4. When theAttention light turns on, release the Left Arrow ( and the Cancel

     buttons.

NOTE: It takes about 60 seconds before initialization process begins.
If the bottom left arrow of the Permanent Storage Init. screen does not appear, repeat steps 1 and 2, but this time press the bottom right arrow.
  5. The initialization starts.
  6. When the initialization completes, the printer enters the generic printer mode.

Then connect your printer to the wireless network by following the instructions in the link below:
