I have owned HP Laserjetpro m402 for years.  Great printer.  During recent reboot of my router the application disappeared from my hard drive.  No clue why.  I downloaded and reinstalled the app and driver.  Attempted 3 installs all have the same error message:

An install operation took too long to execute.  This is a fatal error preventing product use.

Please restart your computer, and run this installer again.  If the problem persists, please check the product support website for your product.

 

Please help.  Printer is at least 8 years old and works great.  Not connected to any network - no wifi on printer.

See if this is the driver you need.   it is "V3" and a full install.

There is a V4 but that applies to the PCL version and it is not a full install unlike the above.

Let me know what happens.
