HP M1212nf stuck in initialization loop after driver was installed and firmware updated on new PC

After setting up a new Windows 10 PC, I downloaded and installed the Full Driver package and one of the steps it went through was a firmware update. Afterwards the printer got stuck initializing, which I see on these forums is a common problem with this printer model.

 

It seems the reset instructions will only be sent by private message, so I need them as soon as possible.
