Hello,

Been trying to troubleshoot 79 boot on HP M402dn. As error comes up and then printer restarts.

I've already done the following:

Turned off printer and waited 10 seconds mentioned in other forums related to same error.

Assured the user dosen't have a print job in print queue nor is it configured on a print server.

Reset factory settings and re-applied needed IP scheme.

When I had the ethernet cord dissconnected notice the printer didn't keep rebooting as usual.

Are there other methods I could resort to? Please advise. Thanks.

Good morning,

Finally got the issue resolved. Comes out that the issue lied on the network side (vlans). Once it was re-configured the printer renamed at normal state. Issue resolved. Thanks.

Hello again,

Sorry I forgot to mention that already, but I already attempted to update firmware as well. Ran it via local USB connection. What other methods do you suggest? Thanks.

What kind of setting on the VLAN configuration did you have to change to resolve the issue?

Thanks,

Mark
