There are Windows 11 ARM Drivers for HP MFP 1132, Universal Print Driver does not install in Dell Inspiron 14 plus (Snap Dragon processor pre-installed with WindowsARM).

Hi @JoseFernando,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP LaserJet MFP 1132 is not installing on a Windows 11 ARM system (Snapdragon) because the HP Universal Print Driver fails to install. Let’s go through what’s happening and what you can do.

Understand the driver limitation

The HP LaserJet MFP 1132 is a legacy model.

HP Universal Print Drivers (UPD PCL5/PCL6/PS) are not supported on Windows 11 ARM, even if Windows attempts installation.

Confirm the system architecture

Go to Settings > System > About and confirm it shows Windows 11 ARM / ARM64.

ARM systems cannot use x64 or x86 kernel-mode printer drivers.

Try Windows built-in class driver

Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Add device.

If detected, allow Windows to install it automatically.

Windows may install a basic Microsoft class driver that supports printing only.

Manually add the printer using a generic driver

Choose Add device > Add manually.

Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.

When prompted for a driver, choose Generic / Text Only or Microsoft PS Class Driver.

This enables basic printing (no scan or advanced features).

USB vs network connection

If using USB, keep the printer directly connected to the laptop (no hubs).

If using network printing, add it using TCP/IP address instead of auto-discovery.

Scanning limitation on Windows ARM

The MFP 1132 scanner requires legacy TWAIN/WIA components.

These components are not available for ARM, so scanning is not supported natively on Windows 11 ARM.

Use a workaround for scanning

Scan from the printer control panel to email or USB (if supported).

Or use a third-party scanning application that provides its own ARM-compatible engine, if available.

What will not work

HP Universal Print Driver packages (PCL5/PCL6/PS).

Older Windows 10 or 11 x64 drivers in compatibility mode.

HP full-feature software designed for Intel/AMD systems.

I hope this helps.
