@MWALBAUM, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Power Issues with Your HP Neverstop 1202nw Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Neverstop 1202nw printer is not powering on, it could be due to a few potential issues. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot the problem:

Step 1: Check the Power Connection

  • Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the power outlet.
  • Try connecting the printer to a different power outlet to confirm the issue is not with the outlet itself.

Step 2: Verify the Power Cord and Adapter

  • Examine the power cord and adapter for any visible damage or wear.
  • If possible, test the printer with another power cord and adapter to determine if the problem lies with the current ones.

Step 3: Reset the Printer

  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and attempt to power on the printer.

Step 4: Check for Printer Lights

  • Observe if any LED lights or indicators on the printer flash or light up briefly when attempting to power it on.
  • If lights are visible, it can indicate the printer might be receiving power but unable to start.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hi thanks, but all the steps you describe do not work

Do you have any other solution?

@MWALBAUM, thank you for trying out all the troubleshooting steps and for getting back to us.

Since your HP Neverstop 1202nw still does not power on after verifying the outlet, cord, and reset, this points to a likely hardware issue – most often the power supply unit (PSU) or the printer’s mainboard.

Here’s what you can do next:

Check the Power Supply Unit

If possible, test with a compatible replacement power cord/adapter (borrowed or new). A faulty PSU is one of the most common causes.

Inspect the Connection Point

Make sure the DC plug that goes into the printer is not loose or damaged. Even small bends can stop the flow of power.

Hope this helps!
