Dell Insperion
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I replaced an old belkin wireless router with a NetGear router.
Since then my wireless HP OJet 5400A Plus printer can not connect.

After hours of set up work with no luck, I deleted the printer and tried from scratch.

I deleted the Printer from my desktop and now I can not re-install the printer and driver.

I have followed all the instruction of the HP Print Doctor install and nothing works.

Anyone have any idea on where I can go to download the Printer Install Software and Drivers for my printer so I can start again.

My printer is a 6500 E710n-z ( I do not the the 10n in the Print Doctor install menu, just the 9n)

I am about ready to throw this in the trash and by a new (NOT HP) Printer.

Frustrated, Jay

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

I have gone through your Post and I would like to help

I suggest you reset the Network Settings on the printer

1. Touch right arrow , and then select Network. 2. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then select Yes.

Then run the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect the printer back to your Network

1. On the printer control panel, touch right arrow , and then select Network. 2. Touch Wireless, select Wireless Setup Wizard, and then touch OK. 3. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.

Next uninstall the printer driver from Root Level and download the Full Feature Software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a great day 😊
