I am trying to print remotely from my office workstation to my home printer. I am connected via VPN and Remote Desktop. My home machine is Windows 10 Home, my office workstation is Windows 10 Pro. My home printer is an HP Office Jet Pro 9020, connected wirelessly. I have configured Remote Desktop to use printers on my host machine. I have installed the HP Smart Universal Print Driver from the HP Office Jet Pro 9020 download page, but I get errors every time I try to print. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the HP User Community.
Remote VPN access is not ideal for this purpose - likely the printer cannot understand the tunneled connection setup.
"Can't get there from here."
Try / Consider
Use the following guides to print to remote (home) printer.
“Print Anywhere App” Supported on Select Printers
HP Printers - Print Anywhere with the HP Smart App
OR
For those of us still stuck in the dark ages,
If Print Anywhere is not available on your "not HP+ 'e' printer"
The older "ePrint" option should likely still work as it has in years past.
Mobile Printing – Options for Printers
Print from your Android, iOS, or Amazon Fire device with the HP Mobile printing app.
Open the section for your printer series > Find your printer and supported applications.

NOTE
I just checked on my OfficeJet Pro 9025 - the HP Smart / HP Connected website has been refurbished (updated) since last I'd checked - ePrint still works for my "owned" printers and their "limited" access (allowed sender list) used to send jobs to the printer.

Thanks Dragon-fur. Remote printing through Remote Desktop is a pretty ubiquitous thing. I have actually setup many user's with it, and if you look online you can see it's a pretty common thing. I need to find the basic driver for this 9020 and get it into the Print Server on my user's office workstation. BUt HP doesn't give you a simple driver. There are 15 options and they're all automated and all I need is a simple driver. Any thoughts on that?
Thanks again!

You are welcome.
Of all the options available in the Software and Drivers offered (in Windows 10, for example),
I would take a look here: Universal Print Driver
