I have been printing at home with my HP OfficeJet 6950 for around 16 months from several computers (three). After a certain moment it has not been possible to print from one of them (Compaq Presario CQ5003ES Desktop PC, Windows 7 Home Premium); there is not printing problem from the other computers.
I tried to solve this by reinstalling the driver in that PC following the advice given for similar problems in HP forums (see below details of my attempts). However, installation stopped (near the end?). (I imagine that "remains" of the previous software are misleading the installation process).
I have reached a partial solution by adding a printer in 'Devices and printer ...' that uses the Microsoft Windows driver for this HP model. It works but all the other functions to control and manage the printer are not present. Any help to revert to the original way of use by properly installing the HP driver ('OJ6950__Full_WebPack_1094.exe') will be very much appreciated.
Attempts followed to install the driver in the PC
I have initiated the installation by running 'HPEasyStart_10_0_4029_14.exe'. It follows successive steps:
- Files extraction.
- Printer configuration download.
- Search for the printer. It found it.
- Search of available software.
- Election of software: complete or basic; I select complete one
- Software initiation. Extraction.
- Installation.
- Software CANNOT be installed. "Unexpected error. Possible problem with software package. Error code 2753."
- New window: On line HP solution searching plus report sending.
- A document is downloaded in PC desk: 'Solve HP installation error - MSI'
- It is explained that different suggested solutions are going to be proposed. But a NEW ERROR appears:
"Script error in page. .... URL: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/IPG/CA/jqueryUI1.8/js/query-1.4.2.min.js".
- And anything stops.
I have also tried other different ways:
- 'Setup.exe' file that I have found in temporary folders - of previous installations? - of the type:
C:\Documents and Settings\Corbrta-I\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS061D\Setup.exe
- the file 'OJ6950__Full_WebPack_1094.exe' itself.
They start in one of the steps detailed above to end in the same errors.

I have gone through your Post and would like to help
I suggest you uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions
Keep me posted how it goes 😊

Thanks KrazyToad,
I couldn't pass step 2 of your recommendations: there is not a program named OJ6950 printer or similar.
Then I have looked for the existence of "*6950*" in all the hard disk (C:\). I have found:
686 files - practically all related to OJ6950 printer - located in folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\Corbrta-I\AppData\Local\Temp\ ..... and subfolders.
and the same 686 files in folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\Corbrta-I\AppData\Local\Temp\ .... and subfolders.
Could this be the origin of the impossibility of reinstalling the driver for HPOJ6950 printer?
Should I erase or remove those files?

Yes remove and delete all existing Printer files you come across when uninstalling it from root level
Then restart the Notebook and download the full feature software
