HP OfficeJet Pro 8120e black HP Screen.

I have the above printer, I went to use recently after a period of inactivity when turning on the display only shows a black screen with a white HP logo and does not progress any further.

I’ve tried turning it on and off again, leaving it unplugged to drain the battery, holding the power button, difference plug sockets, plugged in via Ethernet cable. It makes absolutely no noise to indicate its doing anything.

I read about checking the ink cartridges but the printer won’t turn on so I can’t access them.

I’ve tried a manual firmware update holding the power button and back button.

my warranty only expired at the end of April and I’d rather not have to buy a new printer as I don’t use it that often. I keep it plugged in, in sleep mode so it can update itself as needed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello, Thankyou I have tried this and it hasn’t worked, I managed to access the blue screen menu and resetting to factory default and forcing user start but still the black screen.
Thankyou for the help but I think I’m going to have to get a new printer which isn’t the end of the world.
