I am working with my software delivery team for my company and we need to package these (see below) executables to install in our environment and for that we need silent switches for these executables.
The packages are for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8130E:
- SUPD-V4-X64-4.01.2.2972
- Full_Webpack-51.10.6100-SJ0001_Full_Webpack
Is there a way to find the silent switches for these?
** /s has been used to try it in silent mode but not working.

Hi @75HB,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To install HP software packages silently, you generally need to use specific command-line switches. These can vary depending on the installer type. Here are some steps and general switches you can try for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8130E installation packages.
SUPD-V4-X64-4.01.2.2972
This appears to be a driver package. Silent installation for drivers typically uses standard command-line switches. Here are some common ones to try:
- /silent
- /quiet
- /norestart
- /qn (for MSI-based installers)
Full_Webpack-51.10.6100-SJ0001_Full_Webpack
This appears to be a full software package. Silent installation for these packages may require different switches depending on the installer type (InstallShield, MSI, etc.). Here are some common methods:
Using setup.exe or install.exe
InstallShield Installers:
- /s or /silent
- /v"/qn"
setup.exe /s /v"/qn"
MSI Installers:
- /quiet
- /qn
- /norestart
msiexec /i setup.msi /qn /norestart
General Tips:
- Check the Documentation: The installer packages might come with documentation or a README file that specifies the command-line options.
- Extract the Installer: Sometimes, running the installer with a /extract switch can extract the contents, and you might find an MSI package or additional documentation inside.
- Try /? or /help: Running the installer executable with /help or /? may provide a list of available command-line options.
Example Commands:
For SUPD-V4-X64-4.01.2.2972:
SUPD-V4-X64-4.01.2.2972.exe /silent /norestart
For Full_Webpack-51.10.6100-SJ0001_Full_Webpack:
Full_Webpack-51.10.6100-SJ0001_Full_Webpack.exe /s /v"/qn"
If these switches don't work, you can try to find more detailed options using these methods.
- Check the extracted files for an MSI installer: Sometimes the executable contains an MSI installer that can be directly used with msiexec.
- Run the installer with logging: This can provide insights into what switches might be needed.
setup.exe /l*v install.log
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
