HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer

My HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 is stuck in shutting down mode. The screen stays on, the wheel stops turning, and the printer is not shutting down.

I've ALREADY tried unplugging it, removing the cord, waiting 60 sec and replugging and turning it back ok, did not fix it. I've tried it twice.

Thanks for your assistance.

Hi @sachabaptista,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Officejet Pro 9015 is experiencing a persistent issue with shutting down properly. Since the usual method of unplugging and re-plugging hasn't resolved the problem, there are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Hard Reset: Sometimes, performing a hard reset can resolve issues with printers stuck in a particular mode. To do this, disconnect the power cord from the printer while it's still turned on. Then, wait for about 1-2 minutes before reconnecting the power cord and turning the printer back on.
  • Firmware Update: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, outdated firmware can cause various issues. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by downloading it from the HP website and installing it manually.
  • Factory Reset: If the issue persists, you may need to perform a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that this will reset all settings to their default values, so you may need to reconfigure the printer after the reset. The exact steps for performing a factory reset can vary depending on the printer model, so refer to the user manual or HP's support website for instructions specific to the OfficeJet Pro 9015.

Try these steps and see if they help resolve the issue with your printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
