Hi,
I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 All-in-One Printer. The printer won't turn on when I press the power button. If I unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and plug it back, it powers on and displays "One or more cartridges are missing or damaged. Until cartridges are replaced make sure the" on the screen and turns off immediately. Do you have any advice on how to fix this issue?

Hi @PROJOL155 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 printer is experiencing a power issue related to the cartridges. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
1. Check the Power Connection
- Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to the printer and the wall outlet.
- Try plugging the printer into a different wall outlet to rule out any issues with the current outlet.
2. Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is still on.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds to ensure that the printer is fully reset.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
- Try turning the printer on again.
3. Inspect the Cartridges
- Open the ink cartridge access door and carefully remove all the cartridges.
- Check for any visible damage, leaks, or debris on the cartridges.
- Clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
- Also, check the inside of the printer for any debris or damage where the cartridges are seated.
- Reinstall the cartridges one by one, ensuring they click securely into place.
4. Replace Problematic Cartridges
- If the printer still displays a message indicating that one or more cartridges are missing or damaged, try replacing them with new or known working cartridges.
- Make sure to use genuine HP cartridges to avoid compatibility issues.
5. Check for Firmware Updates
- If your printer turns on after performing the steps above, check for any available firmware updates. You can do this through the HP Smart app or HP's website. Firmware updates can resolve known issues with printers. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure that you do not use a surge protector or power strip for the printer, as these can sometimes cause power issues.

I hope this helps.
