Printer/scanner worked fine until tonight. When I went to print some documents, the following error message appeared at the top of the 'print queue': "One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing. The print job cannot be completed. To fix this situation, HP recommends reinstalling the print driver software." I uninstalled and reinstalled the software from the HP website, but the problem remained. I tried a second time to no avail. Interestingly enough, I noticed that many other people had the exact same problem ALSO BEGINNING LAST NIGHT. Everyone posting about this error message just started having the problem on October 21st -- there are no reports of it before that. Very strange. At any rate, I'm in the middle of midterms and major assignments at law school and am now going to fall behind unless I get this fixed or buy a new printer. Since it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the actual hardware and since so many people are all of a sudden experiencing the exact same issue, I hope that HP will do something about it very soon.

How is the printer connected to the computer?

What is the Mac OS version installed?
