Hello Community,

 

I've my HP Officejet installed on my laptop with Windows 10 OS. I can not print documents because the status is driver is unavailable.  I can use HP Smart to Scan my documents but i can not print.

 

The following steps have done in order to fix the ptoblem:

1) Uninstall the print.

2) Remove it from device manager.

3) Delete the key  from REGEDIT

4) Restart computer

5) Re-install the print but the problem still not fixed.

 

Could you please help me to fix this issue?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list. 
  2. Restart the PC
  3. Close all programs
  4. download only this complete package: HP Officejet 5740 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers 
  5. Close all programs
  6. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads click on the EXE
  7. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
  8. Restart the PC again
  9. Now the installation is complete.

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.
