Officejet Pro 8710

I have an HP Probook G5 that is on Windows 10 20H2.  My printer which is an Officejet Pro 8710 won't install properly . It is a USB printer (due to Office constraints, wireless/LAN connection unavailable).  When the printer gets plugged in it gets recognized but doesn't pick up the driver.

I've tried the following.

1. Manually adding the driver

2. Removing the driver and installing it via the latest software package via HP's website.

3. Trying a generic driver.

4. Manually adding the printer via Add/Remove Printers.

In some instances, i would get the driver to stick but then i get an error that it is Unable to create the print job so it still doesn't work. I've tried the HP app as well and it will read it as online but i still get the unable to create print error. Here is the HP app screen and the error when trying to print. If i get the web interface to come up, i can print the printer internal pages but not a test page from the laptop.

Hi

Did you try to upgrade the driver via Windows Update or via Device Manager?
