You are welcome.
Sometimes the answer is "No".
"Just the messenger" and all that. 😶
Automatic 2-sided Scan
This is one of the features of which I am very fond.
If you have the budget for it -- and not everyone is willing or able to do so --
The HP OfficeJet Pro 9000 series includes the features you seek.
NOTE: Examples in this message link to the UK HP Store.
If you wish to live with one paper tray, consider the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010e
Easy slide-off glass, dual pass two-sided ADF
Two trays: HP OfficeJet Pro 9022e
Single-pass two-sided ADF
What about that OfficeJet 8024e?
No, this series does not support automatic 2-sided scan.
The printer looks the same on the outside but is NOT the same on the inside.
Always read the full specifications.
The suggestions are not "marketing" -- I don't work for HP and I do not care how much anyone spends on a printer.
That said, I have an HP OfficeJet 9025 that I purchased in 2019. Lovely machine. As long as I respect the "keep me clean" fussiness of this princess printer, it prints on all my paper, handles custom paper sizes, and has two drawers (currently using one drawer for envelopes). The device has thus far provided the type of service one expects from a top-shelf product.

Hi,
Thank you so much for your reply, iv been trying to work out how to get back to the thread (clearly not great IT skills)
Is there a printer you can recommend that will automatically scan both sides of a document? i work from home sometimes and i simply cannot do it manually as it will drive me insane, equally i cant keep saving all my scanning till im in the office so it looks like il need to purchase an upgrade.
Id be grateful of any models you can suggest 🙂
