Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Hello,

Product. # T0F28A.

I wanted to get the most updated software for the printer. First, HP said new Firmware was needed. I installed it. All went well. The printer worked.

I then downloaded and tried to install the EasyStart softwre for the printer. TThings did not go well. I do not remember why. I tried two, or three times installing over top of it. I finally found how to uninstall the printer.

Problem; I had screwed up the installation enough it now and even after uninstalling the printer, it will not load.

It will get to where it asks me to connect my USB cable. It says it is connected. It then say it is Checking Software Needs and stalls there. I can only back out of it and retry which will not work.

Does anyone have a way to Completely remove EasyStart from My system ?

Thanks,

Wayne

OK, I found what worked for me.

I uninstalled the printer as well as I could. I then downloaded and installed the Basic Drivers 40.14.1194. Near the end of the installation it wanted me to download and install EasyStart, being as it is supposed to be the most current and all. That did not work for me. It stalled as it had originally.

I uninstalled again and reinstalled the Basic Drivers. I this time skipped the EasyStart option and the install completed pretty much uneventful. The printer works well now All the features all appear to be working.

At any rate, I am happy with it. I am not got going to worry about it any more. I apologize for the bother.

Thanks,

Wayne
