Hi @Jamie600,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand you would like to update the wireless settings on the printer. You need not perform a factory reset in this case.

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

  • Make sure the printer and the Mac are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.

For more info, refer to - Connect to a Wireless HP Printer

Only if you are trying to access the EWS page of the printer or if you are not able to change the wireless settings on the printer as it is locked by admin, we can perform a factory reset.

I have sent you a private message with a set of instructions to perform a reset. Kindly check the same, this might help you to resolve this issue. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello Elohi_NR
I was actually doing a software update for the printer and it wanted a password. The happened to be the PIN number loacted inside the cartridge door. That then allowed the software to be installed.
