I have a HP Officejet Pro 9015 that will not print. I tried to power the unit off but ended up unplugging. This has happened twice in the last few days. This is a new Lenovo laptop that does not have a ethernet connection, only WiFi. I also have a Dymo Labelwriter 450 installed. The occasions it was failed to print, I am in word trying to print a doc. I thought that the default printer was the 9015, but it was trying to print to the Dymo device. This is when the issue with the printer not printing to the 9015 occurs. It looks like when I print to the Dymo device the printer stays defaulted to the Dymo device. When I try to print is when the 9015 fails to print

Hi @Gkissick
welcome to HP Support Community 😀,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Check and Set the HP Officejet Pro 9015 as Default Printer:
- Open the Start menu and go to Settings.
- Click on Devices and then select Printers & scanners.
- Find your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 in the list of printers.
- Right-click on it and select Set as default.
- If the Dymo printer is currently set as the default, you can either change it to the HP or remove it temporarily to avoid confusion.
Check the Print Queue
- Sometimes, print jobs can get stuck in the print queue, preventing other documents from printing.
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the HP Officejet Pro 9015 and choose See what's printing.
- If there are any jobs stuck in the queue, try to Cancel All Documents.
- Once cleared, try printing again.
Reset Printer Settings
- Sometimes resetting the printer to factory settings can help clear out any issues.
- On your HP Officejet Pro 9015, navigate to Settings on the printer's control panel.
- Find the option for Restore Defaults or Restore Network Settings and follow the prompts.
- Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network if necessary.
Ensure Wi-Fi Connection is Stable
- Since your laptop is connected via Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is also connected to the same Wi-Fi network. You can check this on the printer's display panel or by printing a network configuration page.
- If necessary, reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi network.
Update Printer Drivers
- Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your HP Officejet Pro 9015.
- Go to the HP support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
- Install the drivers and restart the computer.
- Try printing again to see if it resolves the issue.
Remove and Reinstall Printers
- Uninstalling and reinstalling both printers (HP and Dymo) may help clear any configuration issues.
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Select the Dymo printer and the HP Officejet Pro 9015 printer and remove them.
- Reinstall both printers using the manufacturer's installation tools or software, making sure to follow the prompts carefully. Refer to this guide for setting up your HP Officejet 9015
Check for Conflicting Software
- Sometimes, printing software for certain devices (like the Dymo) can interfere with other printers. Try temporarily disabling or uninstalling any Dymo-related software and see if this resolves the issue with the HP printer.
Restart Both the Printer and Laptop
- Restart both the printer and the laptop to make sure no processes or settings are causing the issue.
Test with a Different Document/Application
- Try printing from a different application (e.g., a PDF reader) to see if the issue is specific to Word or if it's affecting all print jobs.
Check the Printer’s Ink Levels and Paper
- Ensure that your HP printer has sufficient ink and paper, as sometimes the printer won’t print if it detects low supplies.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
