Hi @Phyne09
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error "F0.01.01.02" on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e indicates a critical system error. This type of error can be caused by issues such as firmware corruption, a malfunction in the printer's internal components, or problems with the USB connection.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Restart the Printer
The first step in troubleshooting is to power cycle the printer, as recommended by the error message.
- Turn off the Printer: Power off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
- Wait for 30 seconds: Give the printer some time to reset completely.
- Reconnect and Power On: Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Check for the Error Again: See if the error persists after restarting.
2. Check the USB Connection
Since your printer is connected via USB, ensure the connection is stable and functioning properly.
- Try a Different USB Port: Connect the printer to a different USB port on your computer. Ideally, use a port directly on the computer rather than through a USB hub.
- Check the USB Cable: Inspect the USB cable for damage. If possible, try using a different USB cable to rule out a faulty cable.
- Reinstall Printer Drivers: Sometimes, reinstalling the printer driver can fix USB-related issues:
- Uninstall the Printer: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click the printer, and select Remove Device.
- Reinstall the Driver: Download the latest drivers from HP’s official website and install them.
3. Check for Firmware Updates
Since you're using firmware version 6.20.1.5-202403010422, there may be a newer version available that addresses the issue.
- Check for Firmware Updates: Visit the HP Support website and check if there’s an updated firmware version for your model.
- Update Firmware: If a newer version is available, follow the instructions provided on the website to update the firmware.
4. Perform a Hard Reset
If the issue persists after restarting the printer, you can try performing a hard reset to restore the printer to its default settings.
- Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the printer’s power cable and disconnect any USB connections.
- Wait for about 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer back on.
- This will help clear any temporary errors that might be causing the problem.
5. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions
- Inspect the Printer: Check for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path or inside the printer. Even a small piece of paper or foreign object can trigger an error.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
