Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My 2019 HP elitebook stopped working and the solution was a reinstall of Windows 10.  After the reinstall was done I needed to reinstall the printer and no drivers are available for Windows 10 64-bit.  HP chat is not up and the usual online solutions do not work and the drivers are not found.  Something's not right.

@lwmosher, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

This model printer is not compatible with the HP Smart app due to its age and there is no driver available on the HP Support site due to its age.

Install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Refer to this document to know how. Try printing. Use Deskjet 990c driver if your printer is not listed.

Refer to this document HP printer setup (Windows built-in driver) for help.

Note: No software is available for scanning. You may use MS paint.

If this does not help, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
