Still no software for this since flash player is no longer extant?

My solution is to keep an old computer going, with Windows7 on it and connect that up to the printer every time that I have to align the print cartridges. If I don't do this after fitting a new cartridge, then it prints off an alignment sheet every time that I turn the printer on, which is annoying. It doesn't make this requirement if the cartridge is just removed and refilled but, after having refilled a black cartridge ten times, the definition was too bad to reliably print barcodes, so a brand new cartridge and a long winded alignment was necessary.

Hi @nevstyke,

I'd like to help!

You may refill your cartridges or use remanufactured cartridges, but you may run into problems. HP will not guarantee the functionality of those ink cartridges.

There are many cartridges in the market which is refilled and sometimes the chip is not configured to work with the printer. You need to contact the cartridge manufacturer and find out why it's not working. Try a different cartridge supplier and check if that works.

HP PSC 1317 All-in-One Printer driver for windows 10 is not available from the HP website.

However, you can install it with windows built-in drivers.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
