where can I get the required software and drivers? I have tried every possibility on your website but they all fail, it is becoming very frustrating. I know my printer is an older model but it must still be possible to download or purchase the required software and driver.  The problem seems to stem after I downloaded the latest Windows 10 update. I tried to scan a document but all I could get was a picture  which is no good to me as I need to modify the document in MS Word.

Hi,

Your printer is provided with a basic print and scan driver for Windows 10, no full capabilities are offered:

https://support.hp.com/hr-en/document/c01796879

You may scan to PDF or photo formats using Windows Scan or HP Scan and Capture using a USB connection as listed in the document.

OCR capabilities are not included as part of the provided solution, for that you would need an OCR application:

You may use any 3rd part OCR solution to scan as an editable text.

If you have Microsoft Office suite there is a good chance the office suite provides this kind of capabilities:

Office 2007 or 2010:
