Good Morning:

 

Since the get go - many years ago - I have had little quirks involving the scanning feature on this printer.  I have managed work arounds - but today I decided to uninstall and reinstall.  I have found myself in a quagmire.  

I keep getting a message during the installation that no network can be found.  I have tried numerous times to figure out what the problem is.  To no avail.  

Anyhow.  I have turned printer and computer off and on a couple times.  Reran the Wireless wizard.  Checked and double checked the IP address -- etc.

Oddly (to me) I can print wirelessly from several apps - Somehow the printer has reappeared in my devices - actually I have two of the same MFP 477 printers showing - BUT when I look at the either of them the screen reads "Scanners not Appearing"  I have no app to open the scanner because I uninstalled everything.  HOWEVER - I can now scan from the Printers - which I could not do earlier and that started this entier s***show in the first place.

Probably too much rambling to make sense - but why can't I finish the new driver installation?
