HP Pavilion 14-dv0084tx touchpad/cursor issue after Windows 11 update.

Problem:

  • The laptop cursor suddenly disappeared after a recent Windows 11 update.
  • The touchpad is not working at all.
  • External USB mouse works normally.

What I checked:

  • In Device Manager, under “Human Interface Devices,” the “I2C HID Device” shows a yellow warning icon.
  • Under “Mice and other pointing devices,” the touchpad device is missing.
  • Intel Serial IO controllers are present under System Devices.
  • ELAN touchpad driver appears installed.

What I already tried:

  • Restarted laptop multiple times
  • Uninstalled “I2C HID Device” and restarted
  • Scanned for hardware changes
  • Show hidden devices

Current status:

  • After restart, “I2C HID Device” reappears with yellow warning icon.
  • Cursor/touchpad still not working.

Request:
Need help fixing the I2C HID/touchpad driver issue or identifying whether this is a Windows update conflict or hardware-related issue.
