My printer quit working ( HP Photosmart D110 ) so I purchased another one just like the one I had.  It will not work either. I have a HP All in One comp. with windows 11 upgrade.  Printer used to work fine.

Hi @RC4851-4851_,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it is to buy a replacement printer, especially the same model and still have it not work after upgrading to Windows 11. You're not alone, and here are what steps you can try for your Photosmart D110 printer.

Why It’s Not Working

The HP Photosmart D110 is an older model, and HP no longer officially supports it for Windows 11. That means:

  • The drivers are not automatically available via Windows Update.
  • The printer may be recognized, but fail to print properly or print gibberish

What You Can Do

Option 1: Try Installing the Legacy Driver Manually

A community expert shared a workaround that helped many users:

Steps:

  1. Download the legacy driver from the link above.
  2. Install it manually.
  3. Restart your PC and try printing again.

Option 2: Use HP Universal Print Driver

If the legacy driver doesn’t work, try the HP Universal Print Driver (UPD):

Option 3: Official Driver Page

You can also try downloading from HP’s official driver page: 👉 HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer series - D110 Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

If Windows 11 isn’t listed, try selecting Windows 10 (64-bit) and installing it in compatibility mode.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
