HP Photosmart 7260
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Photosmart 7260 injet printer and I cannot find suitable Drivers & Utilities compatible with Windows 10 OS. I purchase the printer about 12 years ago and it works fine on my laptop that has Windows 10 but when I installed the printer it was using Windows 8 OS.

So, does anyone have a solution. I tried several downloads including enu_51.exe  and hp_53_enu.exe and this is my last resort before I go out and buy another printer. Am I wrecking my new desktop computer trying to use something similar like D7260 Photosmart printer drivers without being unsuccessful?

I lost the CD that came with the printer and was used to install the printer and wonder if I get hold of a CD my problem would be solved?

Hi,

Your printer drivers are available via Microsoft Update, please follow below steps to install your printer on a Windows 10 PC:

'Device installation settings' was already set to yes and Windows 10 does not see the printer. Microsoft Windows 10 doesn't have the printer driver, possibly because it is very old.
