HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer

My HP Photosmart 7520 connected to my home network perfectly and went through two firmware updates directly from HP to get to firmware update ELM1CN1409AR. Once it downloaded this one, it failed to process any further updates. I have another version of the same machine which is stuck on the same firmware and suffering from the exact same issue. Having seen it update perfectly up to this point, there must me something on HP's end that's causing this issue.

I have downloaded the updated firmware directly to my laptop and tried to install it directly from the PC via both the wired and network connections to no avail. I have also entered the secret utility menu and performed the highest level of hard/soft reset that is available for the device. Is there another way to update this firmware that isn't one the ways I've already attempted unsuccessfully? I'd like to get to the current version to see if I can get web services to operate properly again.
