I also have this issue HP Photosmart/Windows10 update prevents printer working.  I have tried all the suggestions made using many hours of my time Microsoft should provide the answer, HP should provide the answer FoC = 'Free of Charge'.

The window 10 updates seem to be the new corporate  'Ransomware'..
