Product: HP Photosmart A310
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a barely used HP Photosmart A310 series printer, a laptop with Windows 10 and a laptop with Windows 7. There are no driver software options available for download from HP and the cd with the driver software on it is not compatible with either operating system. I have tried HP Smart (as was eventually directed by the dismal support option available) and it will not load the driver either. The computers will recognize the printer but not print due to lack of software but HP Smart will not even recognize the printer (or at the very least is not letting me know if it is). Please help me circumvent this issue. I've tried restarting everything, the cords are all working and in good shape. I don't know what to do.

Hi,

Your printer drivers for both Windows 7 or Windows 10 are available via Windows Update.

 

Follow below steps to install the printer, the document includes the steps for both Windows 7 or 10:
