Hi, I’ve been happily using my HP Photosmart C4180 - All in one printer for many years - most recently with my late 2013 iMac - and am now trying to use it with a HP Pavillion laptop running Windows 10.  I tried using the windows built in drivers per HP support site instructions but keep getting a “drivers not available” type message when I add it as a new device. I would be very grateful is someone could send me a link to download and install drivers for the  printer for Windows 10. I have the original HP install disks inc the one for Windows. I’ve tried installing it without success so I assume it’s well out of date. Thanks in anticipation. Kind regards, Joe

Hi @C1480

Try to install with the next driver:

Hi FerRX,

You kindly posted a link to the driver for the C4180 for which I am very grateful.

I downloaded it to my phone as I was away from home.

I have now transferred it and and downloaded it to the laptop and have tried to install it several times but keep getting the exact same outcome as in the post below -

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-Archive-Read-Only/Photosmart-C4180-driver-does-not-install-on...

I have tried the suggestion made by Shlomil who replied to the above post but again get the same outcome as the OP.

My laptop is an HP Pavillion 15 Notebook. Details -

As you will see from the screenshot below, the laptop recognises the printer when I attach it after the download attempt (not beforehand) but says driver is unavailable.

Curiously, I successfully downloaded the driver to a newer laptop (Dell Latitude E7450) also operating Windows 10 64-bit OS. Basically the same spec as the Pavillion. The printer works fine with that one.

Do you have any thoughts on where I may be going wrong; might there be an older driver; or is there anything else I should try?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Kind regards,

Joe
