I am using MacOS - Ventura 13.5.1 (which isn't an option yet in this support).

Recently dug up an old printer/scanner combo I own from a decade ago (HP Photosmart C4200 Printer/Scanner) and have spent over an hour trying to figure out if there is any current HP software or anything to make it work so far with no luck.  My Macbook did read the printer when it's connected but there are no options for scanning.  HP customer support has been incredibly frustrating to try to find any help or answers.  Also have tried downloading the HP Smart app which also does not recognize this device.   Any ideas as to how I could possible still use this or if it's even possible?

More interested in the scanning function than the printing.

Hi @VadimTa

1. You may need to connect a USB cable from your printer to Macbook before the installation.

2. Then, please download and install  HP Printer drivers for MacOS from the next link:

3. And go to System Preferences > Printers then Add the printer.

* Click YES   to say thank you,

* Click Accepted Solution when question is answered.

Best regards,

ferRX.
