HP Photosmart Plus B209a
macOS 10.15 Catalina

HP Photosmart Plus 209a model CD035A won't print documents from my 2013 desktop iMac 21.5" running macOS 10.15.7.  Alert message: "One or more components of the HP printing software are corrupted or missing.  The print job cannot be completed.  To fix this situation, HP recommends reinstalling the print driver software."  When I try printing from my 2015 MacBook Air with the same macOS, I get the message "PDE.plugin will damage your computer."  This may have happened since we did the latest upgrade to macOS.

I can download the Mac Printer Driver version 5.1, released 10/25/2020 from hp.com/support but the installation immediately gets to and stalls at about 25%.
