HP Photosmart Wireless e-All-in-One Printer series - B110

Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me, I have a HP Photosmart Wireless e-All-in-One Printer series - B110 printer which is now requesting that I insert the SETUP Cartridges to continue. Due to the age of the printer, I no longer have these cartridges and need assistance getting past this screen so I can use my printer again. I have tried a number of combinations to get into menus to see if I can find an option in them but the only one that works is the ?Service Menu? using the below command.

Power Off Printer > Unplug Power Cable > Hold Power Button > Plug In Power Cable > Home Key + Back Key + Home Key + Home Key

I hope I do not need to get throw a perfectly good printer out simply because of this...

Thanks in advance,

In case anyone else runs into this problem, I spent about 30 minutes going through the usual help desk steps to be told that it sounds like a hardware fault and I would need to buy a new printer and that setup cartridges are not available as they are only shipped with new printers. 😠

Before signing the death certificate for the printer I thought I would try a few more times myself to get it working and the following is what I discovered \ got to work.

  1. Power Off Printer and Unplug Power Cable.
  2. Hold Power Button and Plug In Power Cable (wait for the light to flash).
  3. Press the following keys on the display: Home Key + Back Key + Home Key + Home Key
    1. A blue menu should come up
  4. Select Menu then Reset (I think I chose OOB Reset) then OK.
  5. While the loading line is on the screen keep pushing the "Tool" button (bottom left button).

If the Support Menu comes up:

  1. Use arrows to scroll to "System Configuration Menu"
  2. Select "Trade at OOBE"
  3. Press "OK" to enable
  4. Press "x" to exit out of menu screen
  5. Turn off printer and then power back on
Hope this helps someone get a bit more life out of their printer and keep one more item out of landfill...
Now to work on getting the web services to work 😧
