Officejet 6700
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I installed a new ink cartridge today, I received a message stating that the HP Print Rewards program was ending and I should install the latest software to remove references to the program.  When I followed the link to get the new version of the software, it took me to an old version of the software, OJ6700_1315-1.  Was the message in error or does it have a bad link?

I installed the latest version of HP Print Scan Doctor and ran Fix Print Issues.  It said that it updated software.  I still don't know if I installed the software that the HP Print Rewards message indicated I should install.  Very confusing.  Is there a way to determine if my Officejet 6700 has the latest software installed?

Welcome to HP support community.

Perform root level uninstalltion to remove all the printer related software's.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Thanks for the information.  I'm going to see if the changes made by the HP Print Scan Doctor have fixed the issue.  I won't know until another cartridge runs out of ink.  If I receive the HP Rewards Message at that time, I'll use the information you provided to update the driver and firmware.
