Hi @WillyBII ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the HP Print and Scan Doctor is reporting a device manager error for your HP LaserJet Pro P1102 printer, there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:

  • Restart Your Printer and Computer: Sometimes, simply restarting both your printer and your computer can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. You can download and install the drivers from the HP website. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause device manager errors. HP LaserJet Pro P1102 Printer Software and Driver
  • Check Device Manager: Open Device Manager on your Windows 10 PC by right-clicking on the Start menu and selecting "Device Manager." Look for any yellow exclamation marks or error symbols next to your printer. If you see any, try updating the drivers or reinstalling the printer.
  • Reinstall Printer: Uninstall the printer from your computer and then reinstall it. To do this, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select "Remove device." Then reinstall the printer using the latest drivers from the HP website.
  • Check USB Connections: If your printer is connected via USB, ensure that the cable is securely plugged into both the printer and your computer. Try using a different USB port if possible.
  • Run Windows Troubleshooter: Use the built-in Windows troubleshooter to diagnose and fix printer-related issues. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and then select the Printer troubleshooter.
  • Check Firewall/Antivirus Settings: Sometimes firewall or antivirus settings can interfere with printer connections. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software and see if the issue persists.
  • Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your Windows 10 operating system is up to date by checking for and installing any available updates.
