When I use HP Print and Scan Doctor it finds the correct Network but the wrong Network Key.  How do I change it?

I've spent the better part of the day installing & uninstalling troubleshooting and everything I can think of.  Time is money.  I'm about ready to throw this POS in the trash & go buy an Epson.

Hi @Lmorten159,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the HP Print and Scan Doctor is detecting the correct network but displaying the wrong network key, you may need to update the Wi-Fi settings on your HP DeskJet 2700e printer. Here's how you can do it.

Access the Printer's Control Panel:

  • Ensure that your printer is powered on and ready.
  • Navigate to the printer's control panel, which may include a small screen and buttons.

Open the Wireless Settings:

  • Look for a button or option on the control panel that allows you to access the wireless settings. It may be labeled as "Setup," "Wireless," or something similar.

Select the Correct Network:

  • Within the wireless settings, you should see a list of available Wi-Fi networks. Select your correct network from the list.

Enter the Correct Network Key:

  • After selecting the correct network, the printer may prompt you to enter the network key (password). Carefully enter the correct Wi-Fi password.

Confirm the Changes:

  • Once you've entered the correct network key, confirm the changes. The printer should attempt to connect to the new network.

Check Connection Status:

  • After a moment, check if the printer successfully connects to the correct Wi-Fi network. You may see a confirmation message or an indicator on the control panel.

Test Printing:

  • To ensure that the printer is now using the correct network settings, try printing a test page from your computer or device.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
