HP Print Cente tells me that software is missing and that i need a compatible upgrade for my Laserjet MFP M129-M134 on my Mac

I understand your HP Print Center is indicating that software is missing and you need a compatible upgrade for your HP LaserJet MFP M129-M134 on your Mac, you may need to download and install the latest drivers and software from the HP website.

Here are the steps you can follow:

 

  • Visit the HP Support Website: Go to the HP Support website (https://support.hp.com) using your web browser.
  • Enter Your Printer Model: Enter your printer model "HP LaserJet MFP M129-M134" in the search box and press Enter.
  • Select Your Operating System: Make sure to select your Mac operating system version.
  • Download Drivers and Software: Look for the latest drivers and software available for your printer model and Mac operating system. Download the recommended package.
  • Install the Drivers and Software: Once the download is complete, locate the downloaded file and run the installer. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers and software on your Mac. Software and Drivers for HP LaserJet Ultra MFP M134 Printer series
  • Restart Your Mac and Printer: After the installation is complete, restart your Mac and your HP LaserJet printer to ensure that the changes take effect.
  • Check HP Print Center: After restarting, open the HP Print Center again and see if the software issue has been resolved.

Many thanks “Gaya1239”.  I successfully downloaded 2 update files. [This item is on the disk image “M129_Series_FW_Update-20220414.dmg”. Firefox downloaded this disk image today at 21:29.].

However, when I click on the files top install I get the following pop-up message: “HP Firmware Updater” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.” + “This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.”.

Nearly there but stuck.
