HP Recommended

Anyone know if HP has Type-4 printer drivers, I saw on this sub-reddit that V4 drivers don't require admin rights and that was the case for one of our printers.

We want them all like this, it seems every time a driver updates the user needs to reinstall the driver with admin rights which is incredibly frustrating and takes valuable time away from other aspects of IT.

 

We have some pretty old HP Printers too, HP 4250 is one we have a lot of and I can't find a type-4 driver for it, anyone know if it exists. I don't want to deploy the registry hack just so users can print unobstructed.
