Hello, my HP Envy Photo 7155 printer is frozen as the the picture attached.  It cannot even go back to home screen.  I tried all recommend in this community or HP home page.  Is my printer broken?  I don't want to think so.  Please advise the solution.  Thank you!

Hi @ET66

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand the printer is stuck on the initialization screen.

Try the below suggestions -

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware -HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Thank you so much for your comment!

You totally understood the situation on my printer.

I already tried unplug & plug onto wall outlet.  This didn't work.  And the idea for firmware update doesn't work well because the printer is disconnected to network WiFi since it's stopped and frozen.

Will please you suggest any other solution?

Again I appreciate so much for your help!

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that your printer screen is frozen, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
