So I have a HP Officejet Pro 9025e and an HP Officejet Pro 8025. Along with that I have a computer running on Windows, and a Mac Computer. Both computers are up to date, both printers are up to date. I had originally connected the 8025 to my Windows Desktop computer and the 9025 to my mac computer. windows and the 8025 worked great together, no issues. My apple computer and 9025e were connected together and every time the computer or printer would go to sleep, the printers would disconnect and its a fight to get them back together, a lot of times requiring a restart.
I then moved my 9025e to my Windows computer and the 8025 to the apple, and did not change any settings, just switched the printers on the computer settings and location of the printers. Now the 9025e works great with my Windows computer, and I am having the same issue with the Mac computer and the 8025. This is a rather small office and I know the wifi strength is not a factor. This has to be something Mac specific. I just want them to stay connected where when I go to print I do not have to keep messing with settings or restarting.
recap: Both printers work with windows, neither printer will stay connected with mac. wireless signal strength is not a factor. Does anyone have a fix for this?

Hi,
Apple devices relies on Bonjour connectivity (Multicast), which need to be supported by your network.
I would first suggest restarting your router, allow it 3-4 minutes till the internet connection returns, then restart the printer and check for any difference.
I would also recommend to make sure your router's firmware is up to date.
Most networks supports such protocols, some not and some need to be configured to support a such, Please clarify your router brand and model to understand its capabilities and support of Multicasting.
